Department Information

TCFR is an all-hazards emergency response agency with a combination staff of professional career and reserve personnel working a 48/96 schedule, operating three stations in Teton County, Idaho. The district responds to approximately 1100 fire/EMS calls annually. The organizational structure of the career/full-time Department consists of the Fire Chief, two Deputy Chiefs (full time), three Battalion Chiefs (full time), six Captains (full time), an administrative assistant/business manager (full time), and twelve full-time firefighter/EMS personnel. It provides emergency medical services at the Paramedic/ALS level, has a dynamic wildland fire program, and is supported by additional trained volunteer resources. The district consists of three stations: Station 1, Driggs (staffed); Station 2 Victor (staffed); Station 3 Tetonia (not staffed). The District is governed by a board of three elected fire commissioners and supported by an annual taxing district budget of approximately $5,500,000.

Job Description

TCFPD is accepting applications from qualified candidates to fill a Full Time, Career Paramedic/Firefighter position. Qualified individuals will possess a current IFSAC Firefighter I certification (or Pro Board equivalent) at minimum and current Idaho and/or Wyoming licenses and/or active National Registry Paramedic certification. These positions offer competitive wage and benefits package, including participation in State of Idaho Public Employee Retirement System (PERSI). Under general supervision, to respond to alarm and other emergency calls to protect life and property; depending on the nature of the emergency, emergency medical services, perform extraction and rescue, perform fire suppression and prevention activities. To participate in fire prevention programs and inspections, station and apparatus maintenance, and training activities.
